The “Lighting Sculptures” created by Mariano Fortuny began during the early 1900’s and still maintains a unique and artistic feeling today. The Fortuny Lighting Sculptures consist of hanging pendant lights, floor lamps and wall sconces and are used in a variety of locations including Hotels, Restaurants and homes.
Fortuny's research and experimentation with lighting led him to a number of patents. He also invented new methods of textile dyeing and printing processes onto fabrics, reproducing the color, depth and beauty of ancient tapestries, brocades and velvets. These new methods allowed Mariano Fortuny to penetrate the world of fashion, which still influences women today.
