Mini and small Pendant Lights are very common as a preferred lighting for kitchen islands and counters in homes, restaurants, bars, reception areas and more.. Mini and small pendant lights have advanced in design to a level where compared to the past they produce higher levels of illumination while glare is reduced. Small pendant lights come in variety of material and finish options and also in many lamp types including, halogen, LED, xenon, and more..
When planning for the use of small pendant lights, try to place them in groups, just like flowers they usually look better together in a group of lights. Most of the pendants are field adjustable but it is advised to check that prior to purchasing them. Hang the pendants so the source of light is not exposed directly to the eye, this will eliminate unnecessary glare. When hanging over a kitchen counter or a bar top Remember to allow enough clearance space between the person and the light.
It is advised to provide a dimmer that will allow you to control the intensity of the pendant lights and provide you with good control of the light level. For this reason do not mix different types of pendant lights that possibly have a different energy source. For example, do not mix electronic low voltage transformer driven pendant lights with magnetic transformer driven lights. Mixing these sources may cause issues with dimmers since there are specific dimmers for electronic low voltage transformers and other for magnetic transformers or incandescent.
