International Shipping Policy

By purchasing from Louie Lighting Inc., I am certifying that I have read and understand the Louie Lighting Inc. terms and conditions of sale listed herein. Please make note of the following Terms and Conditions.

  • Ship To Address: Buyers are solely responsible for providing a correct shipping address. In the instance of any errors in a delivery address that cause delay and/or the return of a shipment, the buyer will forfeit all shipping costs and the order will be subject to restocking fees. Louie Lighting Inc. will only ship International orders to a physical (street) address. Louie Lighting Inc. will not ship to P.O. Boxes.
  • Canada & Mexico: For residents of Canada & Mexico that have a US shipping address, we will ship to your US address, but will take additional steps to verify your address which may include speaking to you by telephone or e-mail.
  • Delivery Signature: Louie Lighting Inc. will require the signature of the client at the time of delivery.
  • Shipping Insurance: Shipping insurance is mandatory and will be factored in to the shipping cost that we provide to you before shipment.
  • Returns: All orders outside the 48 states are sold without any expressed or implied coverage that we (Louie Lighting) will pay any return shipping costs for ANY reason. Buyers accept all responsibility in both arranging and paying for any return shipments. International sales are still governed by the products return policy. We will accept returns and issue refunds BUT under no condition will we (Louie Lighting) refund or reimburse return shipping fees from or to customer or any associated customs taxes or fees incurred by the buyer at the time of delivery.
  • Shipping Carriers: Louie Lighting Inc. will only ship using secure shipping carriers. This is done to protect the safety of your order and help to ensure that it arrives quickly.
  • Fees: The buyer is solely responsible for all additional fees including but not limited to duties, customs, taxes, and any other fee that may be applied. Please contact your local customs authorities to find out what, if any, fees may apply. LouieLighting.com is not responsible for any of these or other additional charges.
  • Customs Documentation: Louie Lighting Inc. will NOT falsify or otherwise misrepresent customs documentation in an attempt to avoid customs taxes and fees. We will not falsify the stated value of an item nor claim that an item is a "gift" to avoid any customs and import taxes.
  • Export Restrictions: All sales must comply with US Export control laws and regulations. Also see the Louie Lighting Export Policy and Restrictions.

International Online Orders

Outside the 48 US states and International Shipping
For online orders that are to be shipped to a location outside of the 48 states, shipping costs that are displayed on the web site are not valid and our customer service representative will contact you with a specific shipping quote for your approval. At that time, you may either accept or decline the order. You are under no obligation to complete an order if you feel the International shipping fees are more than what you would like to pay. If you decide to cancel the order it is not a problem as we have not yet charged your credit card in any amount. When your order is received a "pre-authorization" is applied and we will only charge International orders after we have contacted you and received confirmation that you agree and approve all International shipping fees.

Payment

All online orders are to be on a pre-paid basis, in US dollars, by the following payment methods: We will issue you a Paypal Invoice which you can pay via PayPal or you can pay with a Wire Transfer directly to our account.

International orders will be processed only after funds have been cleared and deposited into Louie Lighting bank account. 

Return of Defective or Wrong Items

All damages, defects and/or receipt of incorrect items must be reported to Louie Lighting within 10 days of delivery date. Please follow the steps below so that we may resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

  1. Fill out the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Form. All requests for replacements or exchanges may be indicated in the RMA form.
  2. You will receive return instructions from Louie Lighting within approximately 3-5 business days. Once your RMA number has been issued you must return the item to the address indicated within 10 days. Louie Lighting is not responsible for items returned to the incorrect address or items shipped more than 10 days after your RMA number has been issued.
  3. If you have requested a replacement or exchange, the replacement order will be placed after the original shipment has been received and inspected. If you wish to expedite this process and pay for the replacement item before a refund is issued please clearly indicate this in the RMA form.
  4. If you have requested a refund, it will be issued once the shipment has been received and inspected by Louie Lighting.
  5. Items that are found to be in working condition or per-order will not be eligible for a refund. In such a case Louie Lighting will contact you to make arrangements.
  6. You must have an RMA number to return your product. RMA numbers are good for 10 days after they have been issued.

Return of Non-Defective Items
Un-installed and re-saleable products in their original condition and packaging may be returned. All requests for returns or exchanges of non-defective items must be received within 10 days from the date of receipt of items. Please follow the steps below.

  1. Fill out the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Form. All requests for exchanges may be indicated in this form.
  2. You will receive return instructions from Louie Lighting within approximately 3-5 business days. You must return the item to the address indicated within 10 days. Louie Lighting is not responsible for items returned to the incorrect address or items shipped more than 10 days after your RMA number is issued.
  3. Credit will be issued once the shipment is received, inspected and found to comply with the Louie Lighting return policy.
    1. Refunds will be issued less applicable shipping & handling/processing fees (a minimum of $14.50) incurred on the original order and any manufacturer imposed restocking fees (most manufacturers impose restocking fees from 25% - 75%). Please view the product pages for specific information on restocking fees.
    2. Refunds will not be issued on items that do not comply with the Louie Lighting return policy.
    3. We suggest insuring your return to cover any breakage, damages or loss during transit.
    4. If you have requested an exchange, the new order will be placed after the original shipment has been received and inspected by Louie Lighting. If you wish to expedite this process and pay for the replacement item before a refund is issued please clearly indicate this in the RMA Form.
  4. You must have an RMA number to return your product. RMA numbers are good for 10 days after they have been issued.

Non-Returnable Products and Orders
The following types of products/orders are not eligible for returns

  1. Items that have been installed or modified.
  2. Items without their original packaging.
  3. Custom and special orders may only be returned for repair if defective but not for any other reason. Custom orders include items in which the product is "made to order" per your specifications or custom cut (e.g., rope light, track, cable). If you have questions about your purchase qualifying as Custom, please contact customer service before placing an order.
  4. Light bulbs, accessory items, parts and low voltage wires may not be returned for any reason.
  5. Quantities of 6 or more of the same item. When ordering large quantities of the same item we suggest you order a sample of the product for evaluation.
  6. Items in which you received a sale price, discount, promotion or other special offer.
  7. Some manufacturer products cannot be returned or are subject to re-stocking fees.
  8. Please see the individual product information for details on each manufacturer or contact your Louie Lighting representative.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation or validity thereof, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement, that may not be otherwise resolved without third party involvement, shall be resolved by litigation or arbitration. Louie Lighting Inc. shall at its sole discretion, make the determination as to when dispute, shall be escalated to and resolved by either litigation or arbitration. In the case that Louie Lighting determines arbitration shall be the method of resolution, arbitration that a administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) at its Phoenix Regional Office located at 3200 N. Central Ave, Suite 2100 Phoenix, AZ 85012, before one arbitrator. Arbitration shall be administered by AAA pursuant to its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures. Judgment on the Award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. This clause shall not preclude parties from seeking provisional remedies in aid of arbitration from a court of appropriate jurisdiction.

Allocation of Fees and Expenses
In the case of Arbitration, The arbitrator may, in the Award, allocate all or part of the costs of the arbitration, including the fees of the arbitrator and the reasonable attorneys' fees of the prevailing party. In the case of any legal action, the "losing party" shall be liable to the prevailing party for all reasonable fees and expenses incurred by the prevailing party in the prosecution or defense of the action.
