Sebco Transformers have been the backbone of low voltage lighting fixtures in the American lighting industry for over 3 decades. From a company which initially started in the area of lighting for cars, Sebco has now made low voltage transformers available in a range of functionalities. Sebco Transformers can cater to landscape lighting operating on either 12 volts or 24 volts. Special transformers are available for light fixtures using LED bulbs. Sebco Transformers can contain multiple sockets for connection to multiple light fixtures. Specialized transformers are available for indoor lighting and for placement either under-ground or above the ground. Sebco Transformers are available in magnetic or electronic variants. The range for magnetic type transformers is from 100 to 1200 watts, which means a single Sebco Transformer can cater to light fixtures with a total power consumption of up to 1200 watts. Electronic Sebco Transformers are available ranging from 40 watts to 300 watts.
Low voltage transformers are used to convert the normal domestic line voltage of 120 volts to either 12 or 24 volts for use of lighting fixtures that require low voltage, mostly outdoor, light fixtures. A single transformer caters to multiple light fixtures, with the wattage and the number of sockets determining its capacity. Sebco Transformers can be connected to photocells and timer devices for better energy efficiency and illumination management. Photocells compute the intensity of sun-light and activate the Sebco Transformer at dusk and turn them off at dawn. A modular timer can be pre-programmed with specific switching on and off times to perform a similar function. To explore its potential in transformers further, Sebco also manufactures dimmable and non-dimmable LED drivers and electronic metal halide ballasts.
As a part of their commitment to the environment, Sebco ensures that all its items are packaged in biodegradable bags.
