The spectacular glass used by Bruck Lighting is hand-blown at select locations around the world including Italy, Germany, Austria and USA for almost thirty years. Glass making is an exclusive profession and Bruck accepts only complete perfection from glass artisans who are gifted and experienced in the craft of making designs with glass. The artisans select glass of the best quality, which is then scrupulously blown through the mouth in a string of furnaces with varying temperatures to create the ideal shape.
The technique has been carried down from generation to generation for over one thousand years. Since each of the pieces is individually hand blown, it is unique. Once the glass becomes refined through the furnace smelting process, glass of different colors is added. Making each Bruck lighting fixture is a time-consuming process. Making a single piece of glass takes anywhere between 5 and 15 hours. The Murano artisans and their disciples maintain their proficiency at this art and ensure each piece of Bruck glass is uniform in shape, color and thickness. Quality testing and consistency testing are used to match the glass and ensure consistency for orders which use multiple glass-pieces, resulting in a design which is unique and appreciated by truly judicious customers.
