The Hinkley Lighting 4978BN Midtown 9 Light Chandelier Brushed Nickel is a 29” high chandelier consisting of 9 bulb holders made of multi-faceted etched glass set in 2 tiers of 3 holders on top and 6 holders in the bottom rung, capable of accommodating a 100 watts incandescent bulb each. The framework and over-scaled center columns in the 4978BN Midtown 9 Light Chandelier are in brushed nickel finish. For better energy efficiency, the incandescent bulbs can be replaced with CFLs or the 4978BN Midtown 9 Light Chandelier can be connected to a dimmer. The lampshades are capable of emitting a total light of 900 watts, sufficient to light up a space of 600 square feet; with a width of 32”, the 4978BN Midtown 9 Light Chandelier is best suited for rooms with a ceiling height of about 10 feet. If the 4978BN Midtown 9 Light Chandelier is hung too low, it may cause glare in the eyes, if it is too high, it may look out of place.
