The Hinkley Lighting 16713MZ Hardy Island Low Voltage Well Landscape Matte Bronze is a 5” high well light made in heavy duty solid cast brass with a matte bronze finish using a 35 watts bi-pin bulb placed in a 4” wide lampshade, which is protected by a brass enclosure all around it. Since the 16713MZ well lights are placed in the ground, it is advisable to use pea gravel or other permeable sand around the light to allow water to drain away easily. Low voltage lighting is preferred for outdoor light fixtures since it lowers the risk of electrical shocks and is also amenable to the use of decorative bulbs. However, low voltage lighting needs to be connected to low voltage transformers to convert line voltage into the required 12 volts.
