Hinkley Lighting 1538BZ Low Voltage Spot Bronze

The Hinkley Lighting 1538BZ Low Voltage Spot Bronze is a 4.25” high spot light with a 3” wide clear tempered glass lens lampshade capable of containing a 50 watts bi-pin bulb functioning on 12 volts current. Since 1538BZ Low Voltage Spot is an outdoor light fixture, the enclosure is finished in bronze for better resistance to wear and tear. Most outdoor lights work on low voltage using a low voltage transformer to step down the domestic line voltage of 120 volts to 12 volts, since low voltage is more conducive to the use of energy efficient bulbs. The 1538BZ Low Voltage Spot can be used for focusing landscape features such as trees, colored flowers and shrubbery, statuary, fountains, swimming pools, etc. For lights which are placed outdoors, the IP rating should be sufficient so that they are resistant to dust as well as water. The IP rating is a two digit protocol for light fixtures, with the first digit signifying resistance to solid particles and the second digit signifying resistance to water. For outdoor lighting purposes, both digits should be 5 or above.
